Today I was lucky enough to meet Amanda Bootes and check out a class at Another Space London. If you haven’t heard of Amanda or Another Space where have you been living?! Under a rock?!
Amanda has an awesome spot on the internet here where she writes about all sorts of topics! I first came across Amanda on twitter and instantly had major girl love for the girl. Her feed is full of kindness and love and support, and I love she’s into her fitness too! I have been fan-girling over her for a long time, and after endless bugging she finally gave me her number and we arranged to workout in London together!
We agreed to try out the spin class at Another Space London, the main reason being it comes with a free shake after your workout! Who doesn’t love a freebie?! I met Amanda at the tube station and instantly felt at ease, she was as beautiful and friendly in person as she was online which really made me feel at ease!
I still feel like I am a complete newbie when it comes to meeting people and the blogging community so was actually so scared to meet this girl who to me was a rock star! We chatted around london, heading to Another Space for our spin class.
Another Space London is an awesome studio situated in convent garden. The studio itself is gorgeous, with all the necessities a person would dream of!
Another Space is a unique combination of varied, complementary class-based workouts, all synced to the best music, to take body and mind somewhere new.
We were greeted by super friendly staff who gave us our spin shoes, and took our orders for our post-workout shakes. The changing rooms were gorgeous, with hi-tech lockers and all the amenities you could ever want! After getting ready, we then headed downstairs to our bikes in a super cool and dark studio with the awesome (and gorgeous!) Myles!
I’m not going to lie, I was terrified. I have never done a spin class in my life, and I rarely do cardio. My gym sessions include lots of heavy lifting, and the occasional walking on an incline. I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to keep up or that I may injure my lady parts in the process!
The bikes were super comfy, and our spin shoes fitted nicely onto the bikes so we couldn’t lose our footing! There was towels already on the bikes for our use and I did spy some 1kg weights on the front too which we actually used at the end of the last track which was actually a nice twist to the class!
Overall the atmosphere and class was wicked, I would highly recommend the class and studio to everyone! The lighting and music tracks were on point and Myles kept us motivated and energised the whole way through. The post workout shake was also a really nice touch, a great way to fuel those muscles after such an intense class!
You can check out Another Space London’s website here. I definitely want to try a few more classes there, it made such a nice change to my bro gym!
I also want to give a huge thank you to Amanda for giving me the opportunity to workout with her and actually meet her. Anyone who gets to have her around is very lucky indeed, she is INCREDIBLE.
Do you have any classes you have your eyes on to try? Let me know in the comments below and I will definitely make sure I check them out!
